Photo of the Day: Christmas Wish in June?

Orange Wednesdays founder and Baltimore Orioles fan extraordinaire Nancy Cook wants her Christmas present in October.

As of Tuesday, the Baltimore Orioles were in second place in the American League East Division, three games behind the New York Yankees.

It's the first time in recent memory—or in your lifetime, depending on your age—that the Birds have still been in the hunt this close to Major League Baseball's All-Star break.

Dundalk native Nancy Cook has been busy trying to get her Orange Wednesdays campaign—which encourages fans to wear orange apparel on Hump Day in support of the Orioles—to catch on across Birdland.

She recently sent in a photograph she took of a decoration hanging on her front door.

The message of the black and orange stocking is simple, she said: She's asking for her Christmas present to arrive a little early—she wants the Orioles to make the playoffs.
