Enjoy these photos taken by Dundalk Patch reader Carol Abrams.
She's been watching a purple martin's nest since the mother bird laid her egss, and the babies were born earlier this week.
It's the second year the proud mother has built her nest under the awning of a deck in Edgemere.
Any movement near the nest apparently makes the young hungry birds think their mother is returning to the nest, and they open their mouths wide in anticipation of a meal.
In some of the pictures, the bird on the left looks like it is screaming or lecturing someone.
Enjoy the "aw" factor!
