The North Point Odd Fellows Lodge held its annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday to remember local residents lost to war.

At Fort Howard Veterans Park on Monday, the communities of Fort Howard and Edgemere gathered to commemorate Memorial Day—to honor local sons and daughters who have served their nation and to remember those who gave their lives in defense of their homeland.

With a monument dedicated to North Point peninisula residents who served in World War II at the center of attention, members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, North Point Lodge No. 4 held their annual service to ensure that residents who lost their lives defending America are not forgotten.

Three men whose names are on the WWII monument— Charlie Roupe, Don Brown Sr. and Don Warner Sr.— attended Monday's ceremony and were reacognized and thanked for their service.
