Track Santa Via NORAD, Christmas Church Services, Comedy Writer Offers Book Signing

Information to get your week in Greater Dundalk started.

1. The Weather: After a weekend of unseasonably high temperatures, we'll see a gradual return to more normal conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

Daytime high temperatures will range from a high 61 on Monday to a low of 35 on Wednesday. There's a 30 percent chance of snow showers between 3 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, with little to no accumulation expected.

2. From history.com's This Day in History: "On this day in 1888, Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, suffering from severe depression, cuts off the lower part of his left ear with a razor while staying in Arles, France. He later documented the event in a painting titled Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear. Today, Van Gogh is regarded as an artistic genius and his masterpieces sell for record-breaking prices; however, during his lifetime, he was a poster boy for tortured starving artists and sold only one painting."

3. Remember to track Santa's travels Tuesday night!

4. New Light Lutheran Church invites all to its Christmas Eve candlelight service. The church is offering three Christmas Eve services and one on Christmas morning—check the Dundalk Patch events listing for times.

5. Baltimore County comedy writer Michele "Wojo" Wojciechowski will hold a signing of her book, Next Time I Move, They'll Carry Me Out in a Box, from 6 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Valley View Farms.

It's a great opportunity for an autographed, personalized, last-minute Christmas gift for your funny-boned friends and relatives.
