So I gave Donna's a try after not being there in years. I was really pleased with a couple things. First and foremost, it was CLEAN. That is a huge issue for me with bars/restaurants. Second, the service was pretty quick and our waitress was very nice. Though both things are important to me, there is always the food.
I'd heard there was a new chef and was excited to see if there was an improvement in the quality of the food. The menu is great; a good list of starters, sandwiches, and dinners. That said, I tried the cream of crab soup and was disappointed. The crab tasted like the canned/cheap stuff. I decided to play it safe after that and got a sandwich and fries. Garlic fries were good; simple but different. The sandwich was a bit boring. I thought it'd be difficult to mess up a chicken sandwich but it was really underwhelming. I'd be inclined to stick with the Broadway Diner on Eastern for such fare; I was hoping to find a new spot.
I think I'll give it another shot, especially since so many people say the new menu/chef is great. Of course, my first experience was different. The cleanliness and friendliness earn it a second chance.

I cant speak on behalf of thier food. But, the service is definately not the best. The prices are inconsistent depending on who waits on you. They also don't even come out to the tables. On multiple occasions my friends and I counted more then two dozen bottles on our tables along with plates because the servers refuse to come clean them up. If we wanted a drink, we had to go to the bar which resulted in a prolonged wait time. More specficially, there was 4 people at the bar. She was worried more about chatting it up than waiting on a paying customer.
It appears that they have turned into quite the biker bar. It's pretty intimidaing when coming with family and friends. They are quite loud and very obnoxious. It also appears that they hire biker rock bands to preform.
