Dundalk Elementary School doesn't seem to hold up to it's motto, "At Dundalk Elementary we are Responsible, Respectful, Safe and Prepared". I live at one of the school's bus stops. The children are always left unattended. These children climb on our old fence, play in the street and climb our trees. Over the past two years, we have repaired our fence 3 times, had to clean trash out of our yard daily and often find broken tree branches in our yard.

This behavior is far from responsible, respectful or safe and these children certainly are not being prepared to conduct themselves in society. Where are the parents? I'd really like to know. Why is your 6 year old left unattended on a daily basis?

The school will not follow through, nor will the county or the police. These children are going to get hurt; these children are being failed.

Shame on DES and the parents that have left the school to raise them. We will certainly be sending our child to private school. There is no way we would want him to interact with such ill-behaved children and dismissive staff. Hopefully we will be able to leave Dundalk all together, as clearly, the neighborhood is far from repair.
