Fort Howard Park, located at the end of North Point Road, served as a landing for thousands of British troops during the War of 1812. The park is named after Colonel John Eager Howard, a Maryland soldier during the Revolutionary War and Baltimore philanthropist. The park opens up to huge vistas of the Chesapeake Bay.
