The value of a local hardware store... I had a leaking faucet, in an old Baltimore rowhouse bathtub. Home depot didn't have the part, and doubted they could order it (too old). They sent me to Poplar, who not only had it in stock, they showed me how to replace the seat, knew that I could use a cheaper rod to accomplish this (instead of buying a specialized seat tool), and all for less than it would have cost me at HD. They clearly knew and had the parts to suit the local area, and were friendly to boot (and didn't patronize me as a woman taking on a plumbing job). It all worked like a charm, and saved me a plumber call out on a weekend. Very happy to have found them.

Outstanding!! Personal attention every time. Advice on repairs and tools needed. I just took in a 48" double pane sliding window, broken on Hollowen by vandals. I was expecting to pay around $200.00. They replaced the glass for less than $100.00 and helped me load and unload the huge window. This place and the personnel are awesome.
