I was catering a gig next door and out of curiosity went there afterwards. The place is drips with country cool. BIG names in Bluegrass played there up into the 80's. The owner had that Bill Monroe Hillbilly swagger about him. I don't remember his name but he is from Harlan County, Kentucky. He said that since the shutting of the mills around Dundalk his business has pretty much dried up. BY ALL MEANS GO before it shuts down! It has a stage, sound system, and jukebox. It is one of those hidden places you always hear about. Don't let the outside fool you.

I don't think I would even attempt to enter that place!!!

Do they still have occasional bluegrass music at the "Sandpaper"? I was there once but I don't remember the shed-like appearance of the place.
