Dundalk Crime Roundup: Home Invasions, Armed Robbery, Assault

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following is a roundup of recent crime in Greater Dundalk: Feb. 4: Commercial burglary, 2300 block of Sparrows Point Road Between 12:35 and 12:53 a.m., an unknown suspect broke the front door glass at the Edge Rock Cafe. Nothing appears to have been taken. Feb. 2: Home invasion robbery, 100 block of Shipway At 3:45 p.m., two suspects knocked on the victim's door and stated that they were from the water department. Both suspects walked into the home and forced one of the victims to sit on the couch. Money was taken from an upstairs bedroom. The victims called 911 after the suspects fled on foot. SKETCH: Armed Robber Held Up Pikesville Gold Buyer

Two men stole jewelry and money Nov. 14 from Sobo Gold Buyers in Pikesville.

Police have released a sketch of a man who held up a Pikesville gold buyer at gunpoint last month. In a news release Monday, police ask anyone with information on the suspect to call the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020. At about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14, a man armed with a gun confronted an employee outside of Sobo Gold Buyers, located in the 700 block of Reisterstown Road. He forced the employee to walk back into the store, according to the release. Meanwhile, another suspect came onto the scene. The two stole jewelry and money, then ran. Man Wanted for Robbery of Dundalk Quick Mart

The suspect wielded a knife when he robbed the German Hill Road store on March 10.

Baltimore County Police Department officials are looking for a man responsible for robbing the Quick Mart in the 6900 block of German Hill Road with a knife in March, according to a department press release. Police were dispatched to the store at about 10:35 p.m. March 10, after receiving a report of an armed robbery at the store. A man walked into the store, displayed a knife to the cashier and demanded money, according to the statement. The man fled westbound on foot onto German Hill Road. A search of the area by patrol officers and K-9 and aviation units failed to find the suspect. The suspect is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, about 5-foot-7, with tattoos on the outside of both calves and the back side of his right hand. …

Man Seeking Prescription Drugs Robs CVS at Gunpoint

The suspect went behind the pharmacy counter and demanded painkillers, Baltimore County police said.

A man seeking prescription painkillers robbed a CVS store employee and pharmacist at gunpoint on Oct. 24 in Essex. The suspect entered the pharmacy, located in the 500 block of Eastern Blvd., around 8:30 p.m., according to police reports. He then walked behind the counter, displayed a gun and demanded prescription narcotics. The employee and the pharmacist told police that they gave the suspect a bottle of Oxycodone and Percocet before the man ran out of the store. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, 35-45 years old, 185 pounds with dark hair. He wore a black hat, black jacket and black jeans. Armed Robbery at Pizza Shop

An armed man robbed a Dundalk pizza shop late Thursday night, according to Baltimore County police. A tall man dressed in a black ski mask, black sweatshirt, black jeans and wearing black gloves entered Safa Pizza on Dundalk Avenue at appoximately 10:40 p.m., according to Baltimore County police reports. The robber approached the cash register and displayed a handgun while demanding money. The robber took $550 and fled on foot, according to police. The Safa shop that was robbed is on Dundalk Avenue across from the historic Dundalk Shopping Center. It is a new store and opened this summer. Another Safa restaurant is located on Merritt Boulevard. Fort Howard, Edgemere Men Face Armed Robbery Charges

A Fort Howard man and an Edgemere man have been charged with armed robbery stemming from an alleged assault in Fort Howard on Sept. 11. According to Baltimore County police, Robert Hewitt, 31, of Fort Howard and Ronald Roy Acors Jr., 30, of Edgemere held a knife to the throat of a 31-year-old Edgemere man, threatened to kill him and took his cell phone. The cell phone was later recovered, according to police. Hewitt, who lives in the 9200 block of North Point Road, faces a preliminary hearing on charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and armed robbery Oct. 7. Dundalk Man Charged With Armed Robbery

A Dundalk man faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 23 in connection with the robbery of another man whose cell phone was taken at knife point, police said. According to Baltimore County police, Dustin Ray Prince, 22, was charged with allegedly putting a knife to the throat of a 21-year-old male shortly after 1 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 2700 block of Playfield Road, demanding his cell phone. Once the suspect had the cell phone, police allege that he fled the scene. Prince was arrested at his home in the 200 block of Willow Spring Road. He was charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft of less than $1,000 and second-degree assault. Following a bail review hearing, he remains in the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Royal Farms Robbed 2nd Time in 3 Weeks

The Royal Farms store, located at the intersection of Dundalk and Baltimore avenues, was robbed by a single male suspect armed with a handgun, at 6 a.m., Saturday, Baltimore County police confirmed. Shipping Place, unit block, 9:21 p.m., July 11. An unidentified male entered the Subway store in the historic Dundalk Shopping Center, approached an employee and put a box cutter to his throat. The employee told the robber there was no money in the register and the police were on the way. A struggle ensued and the employee forced the robber out of the store with a metal chair. An unidentified victim was robbed at knife-point on the Community College of Baltimore County campus in Dundalk on Friday afternoon, police said. According to Baltimore County police, a victim was robbed at approximately 3:15 p.m. An undisclosed amount of money was taken and no injuries were reported, Baltimore County police Cpl. John Wachter said. Wachter added that Baltimore County police received the armed robbery call at 3:21 p.m. and are searching the area for suspects. “Police are still there, working on it, developing the investigation,” Wachter said.
