Prayers from the Archdiocese of Baltimore include "an end to violence and terror."
Archbishop William E. Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore, issued the following statement on the tragedy in Boston April 15: "On behalf of the priests and faithful of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, I offer prayers for those who lost their lives today and for those who were injured in the violent attack in Boston. Our prayers are with them as well as their families and loved ones, just as we pray too for an end to violence and terror throughout the world. May the love of our compassionate Savior be with all who were impacted by this tragedy.”
The NFL would like the Ravens to open their season at home on Sept. 5, but the O’s already have a game scheduled.
Traditionally the Super Bowl champions get to play at home on the opening night of the season, but a scheduling conflict with the Orioles may make that impossible for the Ravens. The NFL would like to schedule the Ravens to open at home on Sept. 5, but the Orioles already have a home game with the Chicago White Sox. Cockeysville man Rick Ray last week honored his favorite Raven Ray Lewis with his own sort of "last ride."
