Blue Crabs Usher in the Real Arrival of Spring

Seafood houses shuttered for the winter slowly come back to life, much to the joy of local residents.

All is right with the world. I had my first crabs of the season on Saturday, which is the benchmark I use to truly welcome the spring and summer seasons. And I got the crustaceans at Captain Jimmy's on North Point Road, which was closed for the winter and reopened Friday. One of the things I like about most of eastern Baltimore County is that there is a reputable, dependable crab house on nearly every street corner (or so it seems). Dundalkians enjoy their crabs from a variety of local places, including Salty Dog's, Costas Inn, Jimmy's Famous Seafood, The Islander and Dock of the Bay.
