Class of 2012: Patapsco High School

Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts held its graduation ceremonies June 4 at the Towson Center.

Following graduation ceremonies held June 4, 320 new graduates of Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts found themselves eligible for alumni association membership. About 83 percent of those new graduates are headed to some sort of post-secondary education, including two- and four-year colleges and specialized training schools, according to Patapsco Principal Ryan Imbriale. Nine percent of Patapsco's Class of 2012 is headed to the military. Graduates distinguished themselves by earning membership in a variety of merit-based honor societies, including the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, the National Mathematics Honor Society, the Quill and Scroll National Honor Society and the International Thespian Society, …

Pointers Graduate, Head in Many Directions

Nearly 200 graduating seniors received diplomas June 6.

High school graduation ceremonies are always a mixture of jubilation and sorrow as students celebrate one of life's important milestones at the same time they say goodbye to lifelong friends and head in different directions. At the Sparrows Point High School graduation on June 6, there were more goodbyes than usual. In addition to the nearly 200 graduating seniors, longtime principal Robert  SantaCroce, who will retire June 30, presided over his final commencement exercise. Superintendent Joe A. Hairston, who will step down from his position on June 30, chose to make the Pointer graduation ceremony his final one as the leader of Baltimore County Public Schools. Big Week for Greater Dundalk's High School Seniors

Dundalk, Patapsco and Sparrows Point High schools and Battle Monument School all hold graduations this week.

Greater Dundalk will be richer by several hundred new high school graduates this week when Dundalk and Sparrows Point High schools, Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts and the Battle Monument School hold commencement ceremonies. Patapsco High gets the ball rolling with its ceremony beginning at 3 p.m. June 4 at the Towson Center, on the campus of Towson University. The ceremony will be broadcast live in a couple of different formats. It will be streamed in the school auditorium for the school community, and others can watch it live via links on the school's website. Battle Monument will honor its graduates in commencement exercises at 7 p.m. June 5 at the school, 7801 E. Collingham Drive. Sparrows Point seniors will receive their …
