The suspect pried open a window and attempted to steal a cash register drawer. The suspect fled without taking anything. The suspect is a white male, 18 to 25 years old, and 5-foot-10. Baltimore County police detectives are asking the public's help in identifying the person or people involved in an attempted first-degree arson in Dundalk. At 12:15 a.m., April 20, police and fire units went to a home in the 7700 block of Fairgreen Road for the report of a fire, according to a statement from the police department. When they arrived, first responders found that a sofa on the front porch of the house had been deliberately set on fire. The residents were at home when the fire was started, officials said. There is no suspect information available. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Baltimore County police, 410-307-2020.

Officials said the victim, who was hospitalized, is the manager of the Eastern Avenue restaurant.
The manager of the Eastern Avenue Mo's Seafood restaurant was hospitalized after being shot during an armed robbery Tuesday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. At 12:50 a.m., two masked men with handguns entered the restaurant on the 7600 block of Eastern Avenue as employees were preparing to close, police said. One suspect detained five employees in the front of the store while the other man escorted the manager into the back office and took cash, police said. According to the report, there was a struggle and the gun went off, hitting the manager in the chest. Police said that the manager, a 54-year-old man, was treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. …

After a business and elementary school in Dundalk were recently vandalized with offensive graffiti, Baltimore County police say they are now investigating whether the incidents are related. Graffiti was spray-painted on several signs at the Mark Building Company sometime between 10:30 p.m. on March 29 and 10 a.m. on March 30, according to a report from the North Point precinct of the Baltimore County Police Department. Police classified the vandalism at the Mark Building Company at Lynch and Case roads as a "bias incident," meaning the graffiti may have a connection to racial, religious, ethnic or sexual orientation. A Dundalk man has been charged with two counts of assault in a bar brawl over the weekend that sent five people to the hospital, police said. Ronald James Daniels, 47, of the 8100 block of Del Haven Road in Dundalk, was taken into custody March 29, the day after the fight. On March 28, Baltimore County police responded to a disturbance at a pub on the 3800 block of North Point Boulevard at 10:03 p.m., according to charging documents. The brawl broke out Friday night on North Point Boulevard.
Two men were stabbed during a fight Friday evening at a bar on the 3800 block of North Point Boulevard, according to WBAL. In addition to the two men who were stabbed, a woman and two other men were injured during the brawl inside the bar, ABC 2 News reported. In all, five people were taken to the hospital with injuries that police said were not life-threatening. One person was in police custody as a result of the incident, which took place around 10 p.m. Friday, WBAL reported. In Baltimore County, there were 2,654 aggravated assaults in 2011, the latest year for which information was available. Of all aggravated assaults in Maryland that year, 26 percent involved a knife or cutting instrument, according to Maryland State Police.

March 10: Second-degree arson, 7100 block of Sollers Point Road Someone set fire to the warehouse portion of the vacant Seagram's plant. The fire department extinguished the fire. March 9: Attempted murder, 2900 block of Sollers Point Road Between 8:30 and 9 p.m., the victim was getting a tattoo at a friend's house when the suspect became angry. An argument followed between the victim and the suspect. As the victim turned to leave, the suspect stabbed him with an unknown object.
