Dundalk Woman Killed in Curtis Creek Beltway Crash
Victoria DeAngelo of Dundalk drove the wrong way on Interstate 695, causing the fatal crash, police said.
A head-on collision Sunday night on Interstate 695, near the Curtis Creek drawbridge, claimed two lives, including a Dundalk woman and White Marsh toddler. Victoria DeAngelo, 21, of Dundalk, drove her Chevrolet Cobalt the wrong direction on the outer loop of I-695 at about 10 p.m. Sunday. She then crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe at 10:01 p.m., according to Sgt. Jonathan Green, a Maryland Transportation Authority Police spokesman. DeAngelo was pronounced dead at the scene, Green confirmed. The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, 29-year-old Kimberly Taylor, a White Marsh resident, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.
