Patapsco Students Build Gingerbread House for Festival of Trees
Students count Summer Olympics among the inspirations for their creation.
If you're headed to this year's Festival of Trees, make sure you check out an ambitious creation designed and built by Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts students. Members of the school's National Art Honor Society built a gingerbread house for the annual event that benefits the Kennedy-Krieger Institute. "Their design this year of Big Ben coming out of a pocket watch with Michael Phelps as Santa was inspired by the 2012 Olympics, an interest (in) British literature, and a nod to Doctor Who," magnet coordinator Liberty Grayek said in an email to Dundalk Patch.
