The third annual Dip at the Dock took place Saturday at Dock of the Bay restaurant in Edgemere. Six area Ravens Roosts organized the fundraiser that involves taking a swim in the frigid January waters of the Chesapeake Bay. More than $32,000 was raised in the first two years of the event, with all proceeds going to Maryland Special Olympics. Did you participate in Dip at the Dock? It's that time of year again when crazy folks are gearing up to dip, dunk, jump, plunge and otherwise throw themselves into frigidly cold water, all in the name of charity. On Saturday, the same day that thousands of people will descend upon Sandy Point State Park to raise money for Special Olympics of Maryland, a local collaboration of six Ravens Roosts will be carrying out their own version of the now famous fundraiser in Millers Island. The third annual Dip at the Dock will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dock of the Bay restaurant.
