The Baltimore County Police Department promoted 24 members in ceremonies held Friday at Stevenson University.
Two new corporals assigned to the North Point Police Precinct 12 were among 24 Baltimore County Police Department members who were promoted in ceremonies held Friday at Stevenson University. Police Chief James Johnson and Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz were scheduled to attend the ceremony, with Clerk of the Court Julie Ensor administering the oath of office to those promoted. Officers Aaron Brewer and Cynthia Jackson-Booth were both promoted to corporal and will work out of the North Point precinct at the North Point Government Center on Merritt Boulevard. Dec. 7: First-degree assault, Sollers Point and Mornington roads At 10:22 p.m., the victim was walking to a friend's home when two suspects approached him. One suspect punched him and a fight began. One of the suspects stabbed the victim, and then both suspects fled. The victim drove himself to the hospital for treatment of injuries not thought ot be life-threatening. The first suspect is a black male, 20 to 25 years old, tall, with a thin build. The second suspect is a black male, 20 to 25 years old, short, with a medium build and short black hair. Recent crimes in Dundalk included armed robberies at the Royal Farms store on N. Dundalk Avenue and the High's store on Broening Road, according to North Point Precinct 12's crime log: October 27: First-degree arson, 200 block of Patapsco Avenue, 21222 At 4:18 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim's home by unknown means and set a fire inside the home. The victim came home and called 911 when she discovered the fire. The following information is from the North Point Police Precinct 12 online blotter: Sept. 8: Armed robbery - gun, 2000 block of Dundalk Avenue At 10:21 p.m., two suspects entered the McDonald's restaurant. One displayed a handgun and the other displayed a knife. They ordered the employees and customers into the freezer. The suspects took some of the victims' personal property and also took money from the registers and the safe; they then ran away. The first suspect is a man, 5'4", 160 pounds, with brown eyes. July 3: First-degree arson, 7600 block of Charlesmont Road At 2:23 a.m., a former roommate of the victims set fire to the rear porch. Christopher Wagner, 22, of the 3100 block of Whiteway Drive, 21219, was arrested and charged with arson. July 2: First-degree assault, 3100 block of Four Seasons Court At 9:30 p.m., the victim and his friends were in his apartment when an acquaintance came by and offered to sell them marijuana. The victims all refused. The suspect then slapped one of the victims; put another victim in a choke hold, which the victim was able to escape; and then displayed a knife, but did not threaten anyone or assault anyone with the weapon.
