Three Injured in Dundalk School Bus Crash
A box truck that failed to stop at a stop sign collided with a Dundalk Middle School bus on Monday, authorities said.
One adult and two children were treated for minor injuries following a crash in Dundalk Monday afternoon that involved a school bus and a box truck, according to Baltimore County Police Department officials. A school bus transporting 15 children home from Dundalk Middle School was westbound on Liberty Parkway at about 3:01 p.m. Monday when it was struck by a box truck that failed to stop for the stop sign on Portship at Liberty Parkway, Detective Cathy Batton said Tuesday. Both vehicles ended up on the northwest corner of the intersection. Two medics, one fire engine and a ladder truck responded to the crash, Batton said. Liberty Parkway was shut down for about three hours to remove debris and conduct a crash investigation, Batton said. …

Eastsider, apparently, the truck driver failed to grant the right of way coming out of Portship Road. There is a stop sign there. People would often tell me that they stopped at the sign before the crash and I would always tell them that there are two requirements to the law - stop and yield the right of way.
