Russell the Russet Potato Head Pez dispenser took on a Thanksgiving personna this week, with the addition of a turkey leg and a feather head band. Brothers David and Scott Wendler built the display for Halloween, but have promised the scene will constantly evolve throughout the holiday season and beyond. I have it on good authority that Mr. Potato Head will undergo some changes this weekend as he begins the transition to the Christmas season. Enjoy, and stay with Patch to watch the metamorphosis of the Edgemere Pez dispenser!

Dundalk Patch gives you a chance to publicly declare your thanks and appreciation this Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving—a holiday that is perhaps more sedate and family-oriented than Christmas and other gift-centered winter holidays—is Thursday. The annual family feast day traditionally kicks off the frenzied Christmas shopping season, and the remainder of the year is often but a blur. As Thanksgiving approaches, take a moment to pause and reflect on what you're most thankful for this year. Dundalk Patch will publish an article with a list of your holiday wishes and thanks. If you have a holiday wish or note of gratefulness you'd like included in the article to be published Thanksgiving Day, please send it to marge.neal@patch.com. With Thanksgiving next Thursday, many cooks and host and hostesses will be looking to find fresh and local food items for their annual family feasts. With that in mind, the Dundalk Farmers Market will be open one last time for the season when it holds court along Shipping Place from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Local farmers will offer their last batches of fresh vegetables as well as items like honey, eggs, beef, chicken and flowers. The farmers have their stands along the Dundalk Village Shopping Center, near the Dundalk Post Office and Veterans Park. Buy fresh, buy local and say good-bye to your local farmers for the winter!
