Nothing like a game of catch with Dad. How about on Father's Day, and on the field at Camden Yards? The Baltimore Orioles announced Friday that the club is selling special ticket packages that will allow fans to do just that. The Father's Day Catch on the Field Package will be available for $150 for the Orioles' Sunday, June 16 game against Boston. The package includes two left field lower box tickets and the opportunity for two people to join in a pre-game catch session on the field. Additional tickets will cost $75 each, according to a team release. An upgraded package costs $198 and includes two lower box tickets in sections 6 to 14 (on the first base side) or 60 to 64 (on the third base side). The catch session will start at 11:45 a.m…

Local students enjoyed a place of honor Tuesday night when they took center stage at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The chamber choir from Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts sang the American and Canadian national anthems at Oriole Park at Camden Yards before the Orioles took on the Toronto Bluejays in Major League Baseball American League play. A few vocally gifted Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts students have to be excited about their next gig. Members of the school's Chamber Choir have the honor of appearing at Oriole Park at Camden Yards tonight, where they will sing both the American and Canadian national anthems before the Orioles take on the Toronto Bluejays. The school's color guard will get in on the action by having the honor of presenting the flags for the performance, according to a statement from the school. The Birds are back and so are the Patriots—now you have two great reasons to get a ticket or two to tonight's game!

The Baltimore Orioles opened the 2013 season on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays before coming home to Oriole Park at Camden Yards this weekend. On Opening Day at home, the Birds defeated the Minnesota Twins on the strength of a grand slam home run off the bat of the super hot Chris Davis in the eighth inning. His fourth home run in as many games broke a 5-5 tie to win the game for the 3-1 Orioles. Did you attend Opening Day or have plans to attend other games this weekend? The Orioles return to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the first time since defeating the Yankees in Game 2 of the American League Division Series last fall. It's been a long winter, but to many fans, it felt like the shortest one in 15 years. A winning campaign last season means the first of 81 regular season games at Camden Yards comes with heightened anticipation. A 2-1 start against division rivals Tampa Bay doesn't hurt, either. Like with the roster, there aren't any major changes to Camden Yards itself. However, the warning track that rings the field just inside the fence has been replaced—the original synthetic surface was removed in favor of a blend of natural materials. Rain set to move in Thursday night and continue Friday will move out of the Baltimore area by noon at the latest, a few hours before the Orioles host the Minnesota Twins at Camden Yards at 3:05 p.m., according to the latest National Weather Service forecast for Baltimore. There is 80 percent chance of rain Thursday and a 40 percent chance on Friday. That's a change from earlier forecasts. Friday's high could get up to 60, according to the forecast. If you're visiting games later in the Orioles' homestand, the rest of the forecast appears dry. The high will get to 56 on Saturday and 63 on Sunday, before getting into the 70s next week.
