Owings Mills Man Convicted of First-Degree Murder

Elrich Smith, 19, of Owings Mills faces life without parole in the 2011 murder of a 17-year-old female in Randallstown.

A 19-year-old Owings Mills man was convicted of first-degree murder Friday in connection with the 2011 shooting of a 17-year-old female. Elrich Smith, of the 900 block of Joshua Tree Court, faces the maximum penalty of life without the possibility of parole for the July 24, 2011, murder of Katelyn Messina, according to a press release from the Maryland State’s Attorney for Baltimore County. Smith was convicted by a jury in the Baltimore County Circuit Court. Smith and Ryan McLean lured Darnell Hill and Katelyn Messina to a cul-de-sac off of Chapeldale Road in Randallstown to try to kill Hill over a gang dispute. Hill was shot once in the back and survived. Messina was shot four times in the head, chest and back and died from the gunshot …

Baltimore Man Charged in Saturday Stabbing

Christopher Michael Wolfe is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

A Baltimore man is charged with first-degree murder following a Saturday morning stabbing outside an Essex bar. Christopher Michael Wolfe, 21, of the 2400 block of Wilkens Avenue, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson. Police arrived at the 500 block of Eastern Boulevard at 2:52 a.m. Saturday and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds in a parking lot next to Sinix Bar, which had closed for the night by that time. The man, identified as Darryl Wilson Lovellette Jr. of an unknown address, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. this is an update.....in reference to the sad state of affairs of our judicial system...it seem as tho the judge has granted mr.wolfe a delay from being sentenced because at his last hearing nobody from his family showed up...well....JUDGE...this should be a testament to ones character...not a reason to delay justice!!!!! it seems the justice system is more concerned in throwing pot smokers in …   more ›
