Dundalk Chamber of Commerce among those organizations gathering for the special networking meeting March 15.
An eastern Baltimore city and county business collaborative is planning a networking breakfast meeting for March 15, at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Members Dundalk and Chesapeake Gateway chambers of commerce and the Bayview Business Association are invited to attend the joint breakfast meeting which will feature a presentation by Johns Hopkins Bayview President Richard Bennett. The meeting will be held at the Knott Conference Center, Francis Scott Key Pavilion, on the hospital's campus, 4940 Eastern Avenue. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. Bennett will give a hospital campus update, and staff members of Kelly and Associates Insurance Group will offer a presentation on the impact of the federal Affordable Care Act on business. …

UPDATE (12:00 P.M.) Baltimore County police have confirmed the identity of a man shot in the Berkshire neighborhood of Dundalk early Friday morning. Robert Charles Nelson, 24, of the 7900 block of Lansdale Road in Colgate, was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for a gunshot wound shortly after 2 a.m. and later pronounced dead by the medical examiner, according to Baltimore County police. "Shortly after 2 a.m. on Friday officers responded to a 9-1-1 call for a shooting in the Dalton and Lange Street area," said Baltimore County police spokeswoman Susan Hunt. Three people were sent to hospital following several fights Sunday night at a Middle River restaurant.
Three men were transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center late Sunday night after several fights broke out at the Riverwatch Restaurant in Middle River. Baltimore County police arrived at the restaurant around 11:45 p.m., and observed several groups of people arguing throughout the parking lot of the restaurant, located on the 200 block of Nanticoke Road, according to police reports. Among those injured was a 25-year-old man who suffered a swollen right eye and a stab wound to his lower back he suffered after being attacked by several people while trying to board a shuttle bus to take him to a nearby parking lot.
