Essex-Middle River Editor Injured in Monday Crash

Tyler Jonathan Waldman, 24, is a Towson resident.

Police have identified Tyler Jonathan Waldman, 24, as the driver of a Honda Civic who suffered life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Towson Monday morning. Cindy Rivers, a spokeswoman for Shock Trauma, said Waldman remains in critical condition. Waldman, of the 300 block of Stevenson Lane, is a graduate of both Towson High School and Towson University. He is also the editor of Essex-Middle River Patch. Prior to taking the helm of the Essex-Middle River site, Waldman served for two years as the editor of Towson Patch. He is the Towson site's founding editor. Early investigation shows that a Honda Civic was traveling on Goucher Boulevard through the intersection of E. Dundalk Man Rescued from Trench

Two construction workers were in a trench outside a Pikesville home when it collapsed. One remains hospitalized in stable condition.

UPDATE (8:45 p.m.) — A construction worker who was buried waist-deep in a trench outside a Pikesville house Monday was rescued by Baltimore County firefighters and hospitalized at Maryland Shock Trauma in critical condition, a fire official said. But Monday evening, a hospital representative said the accident victim, Will Sprinkle, is now stable and might be sent home "tonight or tomorrow." A second worker who was in the trench when it collapsed, William Simmons, of Dundalk, was rescued shortly after firefighters arrived and was not hospitalized. Simmons said Sprinkle is also from Dundalk, but Sprinkle's hometown has not yet been confirmed…
