jdnbti, grandstanding would be one the speaks without true knowledge of the facts. This is a fact - MD is one of the highest taxed states in the country. This is a fact - MD relies on the federal government and its payroll.

This is also a fact - the entitled are out pacing the titled, That does not balance the checkbook.

I thought about what I said in my first post and a comment came my way that made me think I was wrong. The fact is I was wrong, and that is why I deleted my first post.

The article stated "The department will conduct a full internal investigation pending the outcome of the criminal case, Armacost said.", and that's the way it should be.

I've known Harold for many years. He was a good cop and in our system of justice like a friend wrote "let the facts come in before ye judge."

I should know better. We have a system that will pass judgement when all the facts are in.

What was he thinking? Harold was no rookie. He new the ropes. With all of the stuff going on in the department you would think that they might stop and do the same.

Puff, 23 years gone up in smoke and what about the victim? What is she going through?

I still have some of those patches shown in the photo. They are getting tattered now.

Ron, none of this stuff needs to be an issue if people learn to make their beds like we were taught.

Pardon my humor here, there are two sides to this story, the trip out and the trip back.

Don't shoot the messenger over the message. This man is a councilman and everybody makes mistakes but the problems occur when they try and explain them and you know that.

In this case the truth did hurt.

Ron, why don't you do a blog on the new BC blog site. Maybe you should look at the State Law. Don't swallow your Twinkies when you read it. Of course when you blog you better cross all of your T's and dot your I's.

A man who forgets a trip to the Supper Bowl is voting on our county budget! Incredible!

Speaking of pensions I'm working on another blog that might cause you to sing a different tune. Look up 47-07? Can't wait to hear your reply on that one.

Your comment of, "This is so overblown.", just gave me another blog idea. Thanks!

Wayne, especially when that "coordinator", makes statements that fly against any logic of the topic in which they speak. They seem to take verbatim what they are being told without any questions or research.

Their actions border on being ludicrous considering their goal of revitalizing the Dundalk area and how the lack of knowledge in their planning or research is evident in their letters.

That doesn't say much for the DRC's plans to bring a big box retail to Dundalk now does it. Diamond Point has been vacant for as long as I can remember. Over where Gold's is there are over five vacant stores. Merrit Park is having a problem attracting a anchor but the DRC knows better.

There are almost as many vacant store fronts in Dunalk as people. My question is why the DRC continues to push Vontran's Seagram's deal? Apparently like certain council members a potential ethical issue just gets in the way of doing business.

When was the last time you read the budget? See the stock market lately? Good management like the missing $21 million boondoggle?

How about the article on the county's explosion in the class room size's?

That rock you're talking about, is that where the $21 million is?

Mike, the only way to get a real accounting is to file a FOIA. Then they have to respond to your specific question. There easy to do and can be done by e-mail.
