If you are talking about Diamond Point, the county doesn't own that building. Aside from that, Al Day 's argument doesn't hold up. This isn't the first winter where we have homeless people out in the cold yet it is the first one where the best plan our leaders come up with is putting homeless in a rec center in an area we should be targeting for economic development.

I'm not against helping people. I'm against corrupt and lazy elected officials that do these things because they don't have the brains or will to do anything right.

Stephanie you are definitely pure Dundalk. You accept what your fed. This would NOT take place anywhere else. The owner of the shopping center across the street is supposedly trying to sign new businesses to leases. What new business wants to locate across the street from a homeless shelter? By accepting this you are saying you like Dundalk as a ghetto. I think it might be you who needs to remove head from ass.

Open your eyes! Don't you see what is happening?

Stephanie obviously you have never been to the place or know what goes on there. Kids are there until late at night because we have only one other place to play soccer.

Only in Dundalk would you put a homeless shelter there when it could be in any number of other places. But dundalk is the only place where a methadone clinic a childrens bus stop and a strip club could all be on the same corner. Thank your ZerO for that. I wonder how much he got paid to get that through?

Stop giving these people a break. Other places in Baltimore county don't have homelessness because there elected leaders worked to keep the areas nice. So stop your bleeding heart crap. Dundalk gets the brunt of it once again.

nobody said don't help the homeless. They said they want to be informed when things happen in their community.

More bad leadership from the gaggle of fools Dundalk keep voting for. Dundalk is a joke in towson and a joke in Annapolis becasue of the jokers we keep electing. Dundalk is capital of homeless and sex deviants because the corrupt electeds have ignored the decline for years and done nothing about it.

Rec centers in Towson don't get turned into homeless shelters. Rec centers in Annapolis dont either.

When will the people of Dundalk wake up and stop voting for the jokers who are supposed to be leaders? Leaders communicate. These corrupt arrogant selfish electeds do not. Time for Johnny ZerO to go.

How is it appropriate to have a homeless shelter in the same place as rec programs for kids? It's not which is why they didnt bother to tell anyone.

Matthew I never said it would be bad to get rid of Seagrams. Not sure if Sollers and Delvale are good for increased traffic of a goverment center but that's besides the point.

The point is that Johnny ZerO doesn't do anything unless it benefits him and his cronies. Even if it is at taxpayers expense.

The point is, no matter who wins the bid, Seagrams will become part of the deal. Just watch.

The bidding process is open Steve as you well know. I hope there are many bids and we get new stuff for the community. But just watch what happens. The councilman says North Point won't be sold until as good or better facilities are promised. Where else could you put it?

The community is in an uproar over moving the police to Eastern Ave. with everybody wanting the police to be centrally located. Gee isn't that what Vontran floated months ago? A police station and goverment center at Seagrams? Watch what the message will be.

Dundalk playing right into their hands. Johnny may sound dumb but he's not. Hey he got rid of Yorkway! But only after his buddy got rich at taxpayer expense. You haven't seen any more slum busting have you?

I wonder how much Minnicks will be worth with a police station and a rec center across the street? Give them credit. The cronies have positioned themselves pretty good and we'll get new stuff for once.

You don't need tea leaves to put the facts together.

It's all part of the deal kidds

Dundalk, you are being played. Put the pieces together.

Johnny ZerO tells KK I'll bring you the east side. KK now need to pay up.

Where in Dundalk can you put a Rec center and at least some of the fields? Seagrams

    Who owns Seagram's?

Who just bought a bar right next to Seagram's no one came to before and spent tons of money in it even though they already own a successful bar a mile away? Who wouldn't want a restaurant right next to the new community center?

Why is the owner of Seagram's never cited for code violations?

Why does a relative of the owner of Seagram's buy Tony's down the street? Who woudn't want a carry out joint next to the new community center?

This has been planned for years. But look, Johnny ZerO will save our Rec programs in the name of economic development. Dundalk playing right into his hands. The only economic development you will see will be his new vacation home. KK will be there sipping a drink, celebrating because everyone got what they wanted.

By the way, the poker machines are back inside Minnick's, er, DONE DEALgan
