ReplyA guy came into our office today for us to sign the petition. Having read your post earlier a light bulb went off and I refused to sign. Others signed thinking it was going to protect the wild life in the area they discussed. By the time I pulled this post up and printed it out, it was too late. However, one other knowledgeable person in my office was aware of this debate, wouldn't sign, and cautioned others.

ReplyRed Dolphin and everyone else...YES! It's the elephant in the room. Why is this culture STILL so angry with us that they continue to be so oppressive? It's a sad state of affairs. There's so much more I want to say but it I'm afraid. There's so intimidation and "politically incorrectness".

ReplyI commend you all for not even mentioning race in your comments. What Ms. Ames did was barbaric.
However....my question. Were the victims in the Volkswagen white? I surely hope not, but that thought has been in my mind reading this story. I will comment more after reading more comments. -

ReplySomethin' Special on Bird River Rd. is closed. It is now Porter's Antiques. I think the best kept secret for bedding plants is Cassons Nursery on Earls Rd. Next is Richardson's Farm.

ReplyThe owner is a wonderful person and only wants his patrons to have a good & safe time. My husband does an open mic there every Sat from 5 until 8 and we always have a nice well-behaved although maybe a little older crowd. I hosted a reunion there a couple of Saturdays ago, and we stayed until 10:30. No problems. I hope they stay open.

ReplyI would like to see more local residents being able to access the MARC train system. Right now, we have to travel to Aberdeen to go to NYC. This transportation system needs to serve more than employees going to DC.
