ReplyKirsten wrapped it up well in her comment above. The name of an individual charged with a crime is public record. There are some cases where a name is not published. The reasons vary. I'll write an explanation later today as to our policy on naming names in crime reports—which we've updated in recent months.

ReplyHaha, thanks, Julie. I'm not sure they make a dress to fit a guy at 6-foot-3, 200-plus pounds. But I'll look into that for next year. As a follow-up, the full get-up can be found here in the video: http://havredegrace.patch.com/articles/video-plunging-into-frigid-waters-at-the-second-annual-susquehanna-hose-company-duck-dunk-jan-19-2013
Thanks for everyone's recommendations. I was one of the costume winners Saturday!

Yeah, I noticed that too and had to watch through the whole clip to make sure there wasn't an Aberdeen, MA that I wasn't aware of. Those state abbreviations can be tricky.

Thanks for the comment. I'll have to update the girls team with a story—you're right.
That said, while this story does have some negative news included, I did write it from the positive perspective that the team is playing on, not giving up, and they in fact won their first game out after this became public. I held off on reporting it until after they played their first game back so I could put it in a proper perspective.
Regardless, I'll work on a story regarding the girls' season.
Also, anyone with photos or their own stories about any of the Eagles' teams is encouraged to post them here: http://aberdeen.patch.com/blog/apply
In that we don't have a print publication, Patch can offer that platform. We highlight what the community writes and contributes regularly. I'd love to see parents and fans posting photos of their favorite teams.
