Left Field Pub Owner Kent Whiteford: Recent Dundalk Deaths

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Left Field Pub owner Kent Whiteford will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road.

Whiteford died Jan. 4 after a short illness. He was 59.

Many friends posted comments on his Facebook page, noting his involvement in the Greater Dundalk community, from his church membership and Scouting activities to his ownership of the popular local pub.

"Kent was a friend to all and always had a smile on his face and a greeting when passing," Debby Meyer-Gamble wrote on his Facebook page. "He loved walking his dog in the neighborhood and I will miss seeing him."

The family will hold visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Instead of flowers, family members request that those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, Maryland Chapter, 2002 Clipper Park Road, Suite 110, Baltimore, MD, 21211.
